I have return gas that is hung in my lower chest that last for two to three days. Feels like something is lodged. But I can get a small belch and it stops for a few seconds them comes back. Three time in a month now. Constant swallowing trying to get something to go down or up. Almost want to throw up at times.

Possible causes may be decreased esophageal motility or failure to relax of lower esophageal sphincter or but cracker esophagus etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Hiatus hernia may can present like this. Avoid spicy food and alcohol, avoid smoking and caffeinated drinks.

If trapped gas is there then need to pass stools will give relieve, use antacid for relief. Use Apple Cider Vinegar to decrease bloating. Avoid chewing gum, avoid straw to drink. Check for esophageal motility disorders, hiatal hernia etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use tablet Pantoprazole before breakfast for one week. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
