There are probably a couple different things going on here. You could have taken too much suppository which will take a couple day to wear off. You could also have caused some inflammation in the rectum from suppository which can cause loose/
watery stools. You could have worsening of your MS. You could have a viral or bacterial diarrheal illness which can takes days to months to get better. Or you could have developed
inflammatory bowel disease.
Watery diarrhea can be life-threatening if it is prolonged without adequate treatment. Majority of the time it causes
electrolyte imbalance and
dehydration. I can not tell you if these symptoms will ever stop, but I know your doctor can prescribe medications to help slow the stool.
I would recommend:
-routine screening blood work and stool studies with your
primary care doctors
-You may need a colonoscopy for further evaluation.
-You can try probiotics.
-BRAT diet - bananas, rice, applesauce, toast helps.
-avoid coffee, alcohol, diary products, red meats, and seasoned foods.
-if work up is unremarkable, your doctor can prescribe you anti-diarrheal medications.
