How To Get Rid Of Weakness Due To Muscular Dystrophy?

Sir, I am suffering from Muscular Disrophy for the past eight years, and in Hyderabad NIMS Dr. priescribed me to take Evion 400mg, Eption, Superactiv tablets, but now I am becoming weak as for while climbing stairs and get up from chair it is very diffcult for me can you please help me what to do next. My age 38, 5.5 , 68,

Hi,

Though the treatment of muscular dystrophy is type specific, even then common treatment strategies are physical therapy. Beginning physical therapy early can help keep muscles flexible and strong.

Respiratory Therapy - to help improve respiration and prevent infection in advanced cases

Drug Therapy - steroids and immuno-supressants are the primary line of management, that prevents weakness and increases muscle strength as well

Corrective surgeries - to take care of the deformities and improve movements

In short, treatment will depend on type of muscle dystrophy, part affected and the condition responsible,so a primary final diagnosis is essential before start of the treatment.
