How To Get Rid Of White Spot On Forehead?

I have a white spot on left side of forehead due to vital loss of pigment, my eyebrow becomes white . It appeared for the first time 1 mnth aftr i had jaundice in 2007 a lil white sp0t ,n then it disappeared itself then again it appeared and grew larger . I have consulted so many doctors , they said that it will reappear later after treatment also, and tried everything (allapathy, homeopathy, ayurveda) , but very slow recovery. Sir, i want to know that laser treatment will help me to get rid of this white spot or not ? and is it safe to go for laser treatment?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi. I think its vitiligo. There are many treatment available for vitiligo. Seems you are interested about Light based therapy. Yes, there are light based therapies for vitiligo. One is narrowband UVB treatment. Another is UVA treatment after applying psoralen (if area to be treated is small) or oral psoralen (if large area is to be treated). These treatments are very safe if done under supervision of trained dermatologist. You have mentioned about white eyebrow hairs. See, most of the pigmentation during treatment is coming from hair roots. So, if hair has turned white, the response is usually slow. Hope it answers your queries.
