Hi Randy, thanks for your query.
In my opinion you have a problem in your vocal cords.
It might be vocal cord nodule/poylp , which are very common in singer , which occurs because of vocal abuse.
All your habits of
smoking, alcohol, cold intake can damage your voice.
If I were your treating doctor I eoukd have first examined you clinically, suggested gor flexible
laryngoscopy to visualize the vocal cords and subglottic area in details.
If there was any infect ion of
larynx, I would have prescribed antibiotics+ antiedema drugs.
If there was a vocal cord nodule or poylp I would have advised for
laser excision of the lesion.
complete voice rest is a must for any disease of voice box untill it heals.
It is difficult to predict the problem without clinically examining your larynx.
So I would advise you to meet your
ENT specialist, get your self examined and discuss the treatment with him.
Hope I have answered your query. Thanks.
