How To Give Sputum Test For TB With Non Productive Cough?

Hi! i am Junrel Bacton 22 years old. I've been diagnosed with Pulmonary Tuberculosis, Left Upper Lobe they requested me to give sputum for sputum test but the problem is i don't have a productive cough what i'm gonna do? i need to go back to work. I'm on my 2month of medication of Rifampicin.

Hello
As diagnosis is established on the basis of X RAY report . When patient is not able to produce sputum , take a nasal tube and collect the sample from nose .
When such patient visit in my clinic I take sample with the help of nasal tube.
Now a days NUCLEIC ACID AMPLIFICATION is useful for diagnosis of not only positive cases but also for negative cases for sputum for A F B.
Other method for diagnostic confirmation are :
Bronchoscopy ,
Protein Purified Derivative ( PPD ) Tuberculin Skin Test.
Sputum culture and sensitivity test is also good for diagnosis for PTB.
