Hi im dr.hema physiotherapist.

Please consult an orthopaedicean.

Without examining you it is difficult to tell the exact cause,

The pain may be due spine or due to the hip, it is most likely related arthritis of the joint.(due to age, wear and tear, weight)

There are other, rarer causes of pain, relating to disturbances of bone metabolism or bursitis or bony destruction.

To clarify the diagnosis I would suggest that you arrange an examination and X-ray.Any pain that is persisting for so long and affecting your daily life deserves to be assessed further.

Hope the information helps you to take necessary step.
