Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Apply hot water bottle over the injured area (only if skin is intact) and do some knee isometric exercises and take relative bed rest for one week (do less walking and don't go for walks). If it does not help contact an orthopaedician as she might require some medical help. And if the skin is not intact then visit your doctor at the earliest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harsh Swarup
