My husband was taken to the med center Saturday for a severe bleeding rash and was put on Predisone. He was to take 6 pills that day and six the following (3 morning with food...3 afternoon with food). The instructions were covered by the label and he doesn t know the proper dose now. They gave him 40 pills. He can t get an answer from them, because the doctor on call is not there now. I m sure he should not continue taking that many...that he should be tapering off. Is that correct?
As a first line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.
