my child is 5 months old . he has a severe cough and cold . doctors suggested to use azithral jr drops - 12 drops two times a day . kidivent -12 drops , 3 times a day . vacant quick - 2 drops 2 times a day , childryl rub . these seems a overdose to me . is that ok
Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. sorry to say this but I too feel its too many drugs for a 5 month old. 1st of all I don't see any need for an antibiotic (Azithral) and I would also like to insist on the fact that 95% of childhood illnesses are viral and will spontaneously settle in 5-7 days. Unless your kid is excessively breathless or having anxious look on the face which is also called air hunger...I don't think you should worry. I suggest only single non-combination anti-allergic drops and nasal saline decongestants. Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time.
