I was attacked by a male and ended in hospital for a few weeks, my lip received many stitches and now I have big lumps inside my lips. will these heal or go, as it makes me unable to fully open my mouth wide and feels really sore and lumpy and I cant smile as it hurts

Hello, Thanks for consuting at hcm... lump that has formed after stitches on the lips can be due to hypertrophic scar formation. It occurs due to overproduction of collagen, which causes the scar to be raised above the surrounding skin and which looks like a growth over the wound or stitchline.Give it some time to heal,if it doesnt ..You need to get this scar evaluated from a Dermatologist / plastic surgeon regarding the treatment mode. It depends on the firmness, vascularity, size etc.
