hi doctor , i just want to know what happen with my viginal because it is a very itchy after i shave and sometime injured and leaving scar. i'm trying used cream for itchy it is a worked but after 1 months plus itchy come back again . any special cream that case ?
Vaginal itching can occur due to vaginal dryness, inflammation and also due to to infections.Any history of abnormal / curdy white discharge, foul smelling or colored vaginal discharge can indicate vaginal infections. Since you have mentioned previous episode of vaginal itching, I would suggest you to take a vaginal smear to rule out infections.
You may require a course of antibiotics based on whether the infection is bacterial or fungal. Local application of antibiotic cream is also useful. Vaginal hygiene should also be maintained. Collection of vaginal fluid over a long period of time can accumulate as white colored material called smegma which can also cause itching. You can clean the area with mild soap solution. Adequate hydration is also essential.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
