Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
the doctor said my wife is losing the elsticity in her legs. ( she has stumbled and fallen ). what is the name for this condition and what can be done to improve the elasticity thanks
I have studied your case and ai think that she might be having knee osteoarthritis. In this condition there is reduction of joint space and there is loss of elasticity. Patient can not sit on the floor and squat. I would suggest you to send me her x rays or any other investigation you have. I will try my best to help you. Till that time I would recommend you to give your wife calcium and vitamin D 3 daily. Along with than you should also teach her physiotherapy. I hope these steps will be helpful to you. Let me know if there is any other questions. Thanks
