Hi, Thank you for asking question on health care magic. Preterm baby's stomach capacity is less and bring out some milk after each feed and is quite normal. She has put up 2 kg weight already. Give small feeds more frequently, better give feeds with a dropper If NANpro is not tolerated You may change to different formula. She needs 150 ml/kg body weight within 24 hours. First you start with the present weight and gradually increase day by day for the expected weight at that age (5 kg). Once the baby starts taking feeds she will sleep normally As weight increases brain development follows. Hope this answer will serve your purpose Please feel free to ask any more queries if required Take care Dr.M.V.Subrahmanyam MD;DCH Associate professor of pediatrics
