I have low creatine levels in my urine; I'm to be starting on clinical trials for Hep C treatment. I do not do drugs or drink etoh; I take coreg 12.5, losartane/hcz 100/25 and sertraline 50 mg at bedtime; what can I do to increase this. I want to be able to stay in the clinical trial. Thanks
Hello and welcome to HCM. As an Urologist, i can fully understand your concern. The urine and blood creatinine levels, are parallel. Blood creatinine and creatinine clearance, are standard tests done to estimate the kidney function. Without knowing your urine or serum creatinine,it's difficult to estimate the kidney function. An increase in creatinine, whether in blood or urine,is not desirable. There's no harm in enrolling on the medical drug trial, after checking your creatinine level. If you've any doubt, send it as a direct question,to me.
