Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i want some help please suggest. my father is 61 years old.last month he complaint pain in his jaw after which we got his angiography done. the findings of the report are as follows: Impression: Double Vessel Disease LAD: Mid LAD has 80% discrete concentric stenosis. ostial D1 has 99% discrete concentric stenosis LCx: LCx is diffusely diseased with total occlusion after OM2. OM2 is diffusely diseased with maximum 90% stenosis.
Your father has coronary artery disease with significant stenosis. Usually there are 2 options in cases like this;1. PCI-coronary stenting and 2.CABG- open heart surgery In your father's case he may need more than 3 stents, also considering the fact that he has diffuse narrowed artery, CABG may be better option.
Wishing good health to your father
Regards, Dr Baghdasaryan
