how do i get rid of the darkness around my lips? I ve been i guess you could say addicted to Chapstick since I was very young and i can t go for more than about an hour without applying it. my lip line is very dark now though, my actual lip is pink but the line & corners are dark is there anyway to naturally get rid of this? (please dont suggest to stop using Chapstick because that cannot happen)
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have dark pigmentation around lips which is mainly due to perioral dermatitis i. e hyper pigmentation due to excessive absorption of UV rays of skin. Your skin surrounding lips is very sensitive and causing dermatitis there. I would suggest you to use hydroquinone, steroid and retinoid based triple combination cream like skinlite. Creams containing fusidic acid combinations are very effective and apply twice a day. Take vitamin D3 rich tablet two times a day. Don't let that area dry and keep applying aloe vera gel or petroleum jelly on frequent basis as dry skin is major cause of hyperpigmentation. Protect from sun exposure and keep that area covered whenever expose to sun. Consult dermatologist once to check if anything not suiting to your skin.
