How To Manage Nausea Caused By Taking Bactrim?

Hi I am leaving tomorrow on a plane. I am taking Bactrim because I have a UTI. I don t do well with Bactrim but it s necessary. My Dr also ordered anti nausea pills. I take 2 pills 1/2 hour before I take the Bactrim. After taking Bactrim for about two and a half days I started vomiting tonight. Do you have any ideas of what I can eat or anything else to stop this nausea before I board a plane? Thank you

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

- Eat poultry or soy.
- Eat dry foods, such as crackers, toast, dry cereals, or bread sticks, when you wake up and every few hours during the day.
- Eat cool foods instead of hot, spicy foods.
- Don't eat foods that are very sweet, greasy, or fried.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
