Hi I have been given clexane forte 150/mg/1mlhi as I have to have a small operation next week on need to come off warfrin on the the clexane box it says 10 off clexane forte 150/mg/1m. then use as directed 0.95mls. does that mean I have to discharge the needle to the 95 make
For patients prescribed doses less than 20mg but greater than 10mg, the 20mg/0.2mL preparation of clexane should be used to prepare a concentration of 20mg/1.0mL.
1.Draw 0.8mL of normal saline (0.9% NaCl) into a 2 mL syringe.
2.Inject Enoxaprin 20mg/0.2mL directly into normal saline syringe, making a total volume of 1mL.
3.This equals a concentration of 20mg/1mL.
4.From the 2mL syringe withdraw dose required with a 1mL syringe.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
