I have a severe case of hyperhidrosis. my mom wont take me to the dermatologist, and i switched schools so i dont wear a white shirt anymore i wear a green one and the sweat is clearly visible on that. what is the best product to try, which can be bought in south africa?
Most of the times its a subjective feeling only, the sweating is within physiological level, and some wetting there in areas like axilla and neck is to be taken as normal only.
In a true case of hyperhidrosis, treatment is not easy, and is usually long term. Drugs used are anti-cholinergics like glycopyrrolate, botulinum injection, and very rarely sympathectomy- before which we need to have a basic evaluation to rule out causes like hyperthyroidism and autonomic disorders. There are no over the counter drugs to try for this condition.
Meanwhile, if feasible, try undergarments covering axilla too.
