Hello Welcome to HCM. Cigarette Smoking has life threatening effects and can cause various respiratory diseases and cancers. As your husband smokes 25 cigarettes per day, he would require 4mg nicotine formulation. The easily available and acceptable formulations are nicotine chewing gum or pastilles. Pastilles are easy to use. He has to just keep one pastille in the side of his mouth every time there is craving to smoke. Donot take more than 15 pastilles in a day. If possible you can take him to a psychiatrist. Hope this helps. Thanks.
