Understand your concern
Masturbation is normal sexual behavior. It does not affect the memory power. But you concern when it affect your normal routine activity. Masturbation 3 times per week is completely normal and it does not cause any side effects. Moderate masturbation can reduce
anxiety as it is just like sex but without involvement of the partner.
But do not think about masturbation when you are reading. If you have thought of masturbation then just do it and then engage in your activity.
When you have thought of masturbation, you can divert your mind in to other things like talking to family member, go outside, eat some snacks and other enjoyable activity.
Make your mind strong and develop self control in your mind.
Discard the pornographic CD or DVD and put password on the pornographic site on you internet that reduce your activity.
Fix your time of your masturbation like at the bed time, in the morning just after woke up so it does not affect the your activity.
Start regular exercise daily in the morning for 45-60 minutes that reduce anxiety and
stress. Take healthy diet rich in protein and fresh fruits.
But i think you are overthinking as masturbation 3/week is completely normal. Concentrate on your activity more. SPEnd more time with family and friends.
