Hi and welcome to HCM.
For your first question
Susten contains progesterone, However progesterone is not approved for use during pregnancy in any advanced country such as US, UK etc. Some authorities in the past used to recommend its use in recurrent
miscarriage or
threatened abortion but now there is now no evidence of any benefit from such practice and recommend against the use in early pregnancy unless there is proven deficiency. One problem with this medicine is that female baby may suffer from
hirsutism (unwanted hair on face, chest etc). Therefore if at all progsterones have to be given when there is documented deficiency, it is preferable to give
dydrogesterone (sold as Duphaston) or
medroxyprogesterone (sold as Meprate). This you have to clarify with your doctor and if he is confident on what he is recommending then go for it. Many doctor still prescribe susten
Second question;
Pain abdomen, breasts heaviness and not feeling hungry all are symptoms of early pregnancy. They will subside as your pregnancy progresses these symptoms will come down. I think you have undergone some basic blood investigations and doctor has put u on folsafe (
folic acid) . In second trimester they will put you on iron and
calcium supplements, which will increase your appetite and you can have food without any problem. If you experience excess vomiting (more than 6-7 episodes with excess tiredness) please consult your doctor immediately.

Dr Santosh
