How To Overcome The Bleeding From A Popped Blood Blister?

Have a Bard Port that is kinked, was giving Heparin on Friday which I do not use due to having a groshong. I am also on fenofibrate aka tricor145. I had a blood blister that popped and now I will not stop bleeding.. what can I do.. been told to go to hospital but I don t want to go

Hi


You have developed a bleeding blister.

The most important thing to do is to apply sufficient pressure over the affected area.
Do not rub the area.
Avoid any friction or any further trauma.
If still the bleeding persists, you can even tie a torniquet to a proximal area for a short time only .

If inspite of above measures, there is continent bleeding, then you should surely see a nearby doctor for the same.
