my boy friend has severe groin itching and little bumps he has some on his side and stomck. this has been going on for about 2 yrs now hes seen his dr and others and they have no clue I buy itching cream for him it helps for a few hours then right back to where it was the dr did give him (sorry about spelling) steroilds it helps a lot but the wont give him no more said it will harm his bones plz help...
Itching in groin and lower abdomen is most likely due to fungal infection. If not treated properly or given combination creams containing steroids, it may recurr again and again lasting for years together.
So, by your description, it is most likely a fungal infection.
You may start him on tab fluconazole once a week along with topical terbicip cream twice daily application over the lesions only . continue the treatment for atleast 2 weeks.
Daily bath with soap and water and wash clothes.
Or better if you can upload the pic of the lesion, i can surely tell you about the diagnosis before strating the treatment.
