How To Overcome The Swelling Of Salivary Gland In My Neck?

I have either a lymph node or a salivary gland that is swollen in my neck and aches up into my ear. I have just completed a protocol of antibiotics but it is still swollen albeit not as painful. Should I be going back to the doctor of maybe trying an over the counter antihistamine first?
