How To Predict The Ovulation Period?

I want to conceive baby. my cycle is nearly on time. 23/22 and some time 26 of the month. Not able to locate the exact ovulation date. Last month i took some ayurvedic medicine and my monthly stopped....did check up for missed period............not pregnancy. Ultra sound is also negative with polycyst.........doctor given me Sandoz.........and asked me to have it for 5 days twice daily. Please Guide. I want to conceive.

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. If you have a regular 28-30 day menstrual cycle, then the ovulation usually occurs on the day 14 of the cycle, the first day counted from the first day of periods. If you have polycystic ovaries, then the ovulation may be irregular, and can be predicted by follicular monitoring by ultrasound.
Unprotected intercourse in fertile period, which ranges from Day 8 to day22 of the cycle, maximize the chances of conception. You should also take folic acid tablet daily as taking it in preconceptional period decreases the risk of congenital anomalies in the fetus.
