How To Prevent Nose Bleeding With A History Of Transsphenoidal Surgery For Pituitary Macroadenoma?
my mother underwent transspenoidal surgery for pituitary macroadenoma one month back... everything was fine... but suddenly today she had active nose bleeding... ice pack ws applied and it got subsided now.... what should be our next line of action to prevent a future episode of the same???
Nasal bleeding after a trans-spenoidal surgery is usually due to a problem in nasal cavity or due to hypertension. If your mother's BP is normal, please consult and ENT surgeon and have her nasal cavity examined, it could be due to some infection or retained blood clots.
