Hello,
Recurrent throat infection could be because of nasal cause or reflux disease.
first precaution is avoid outside food.
Secondly does he snore ? if yes you need to get him examined for adenoids by ent specialist and then treated accordingly. If there is reflux disease then you need to give proton pump inhibitor like pantoprazole or lansoprazole.
YOu need to give him antibiotic .
