How To Quit Asthalin Inhaler And Unicontin Tablet?
Dear & Respected Doctor, I am Mr. K.N.Ranganath, Working in Railways as Sr.Clerk for the past 17 years. My age is 38 years. For the past 20 years, I am taking Theo Asthalin Tablet and Unicontin 400 mg tablet daily in the night from the age of 19 years to till now. I am using Asthalin inhaler during day time while congestions. Doctor, I am bored and addicted to that tablets. Kindly help me.
Thanks for your question on HCM. In my opinion you should first consult pulmonologist and get done PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) and know the severity of your problem. And there are many good alternatives to asthalin and tab unicontin. Asthalin is salbutamol and it is short acting. In my practice I prefer long acting Formoterol with budesonide combination. Which needs only twice daily dose. And gives you better symptomatic control. So better to consult pulmonologist and discuss these things.
