Hello. . My breast is too large and not in shape... doctor gave me hormone test ...nd report says prolactin level is high. .. well I want to reduce my breast size and in shape...will I be able to reduse after taking medicines to control prolactin level? ?
Hello there, thanks for the query! Well, unfortunately there s nothing much you can do about your breast size unless you plan to get treated by a cosmetic surgeon for breast reduction. The size of the breasts depends on how well they responded to sex steroids (estrogen and progesterone) at the time of puberty. It is very unlikely that your increased prolactin is the reason for it. Increased prolactin can be an incedental finding or it is detected when one starts producing milk when not pregnant or when it causes irregular and infrequent periods. Taking medications for increased prolactin will help normalise it but it won't reduce breast size. Hope this information is useful. Take care.
