How To Reduce Hair Thinning?

May hair has thinned very much. I have high blood pressure and I want to know what can I do for my hair to stop thinning. I take biotin every day and zinc. I was told this would help, but I have not seen a doctor to see if there was something else I could use. Is there anything non-prescription I can use. No thanks. I do not wish to make a payment onlline using a credit card or debt card.

Hello,

I completely understand your concern for the hair thinning.

Hair thinning is most often nutritional other than genetic or due to any illness.

In my patients with your kind of problem I generally go for routine blood tests with complete hemogram and serum ferritin level.

I have seen many patients with thyroid problem or any other hormonal disturbances to get hair thinning as main problem.

If all the investigations are normal then the most important cause is nutritional.

I suggest you to take good amount of proteins and mineral in your diet. Get your hemoglobin checked and if less than normal then can take iron supplementation.

All the best.
