How To Reduce Pain Inside Throat After Eating Hot Food?
Hi,
I ate something the other night and didn't realize that it hadn't cooled down and burnt my stomach and throat on the way down. Now a couple of days later I have a real pain on the inside and it hurts when I eat and epically when I drink hot drinks
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.
As per your complain and presentation of symptoms pain in throat after eating very hot food is due to burning and inflammation of the mucosal lining caused due to thermal injury.. Nothing to worry as it will gradually get resolved. As of now you can take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen for reducing pain and inflammation. Drink plenty of cold water. Take a soft diet and avoid spicy, hot and hard foods as they will further cause injury to already inflamed mucosa. Gradually the inflammation will reduce and pain will also subside..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
