HI,

I can understand your concern for the hair fall itchy scalp problem. It can be due to multiple factors including hormones, diet and nutritional deficiency and stress along with improper washing of hair.

I first of all suggest you to wash your daily with a mild shampoo. Do nto apply any hair oil on scalp as it causes more stickiness and increases dandruff.

You can take a tablet containing Acetylcysteine, Calcium Pantothenate, Selenium, Zinc, Biotin, Copper as active ingredients. You can take these vitamins in the form of biotin, calicium pantothenate and other vitamin B complexes.

Additionally increase you protein intake on daily basis and eat sprouts. Eat a lot of green leafy vegetables and sprouts which contains vitamins and minerals necessary for normal hair function.

You can consult a dermatologist and take guidance so that long term use can be maintained.

Take care.

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM.

I would keep a possibility of Telogen effluvium OR Androgenetic alopecia(female pattern). A physical examination is required to distinguish between the two.

If you don't have any dandruff using a mild shampoo twice or thrice weekly would be enough.

If i were your treating doctor i would have asked you to continue with Oral biotin supplementation. Along with that i would like to add an Iron supplement once daily.

I would also like to add a topical minoxidil formulation 1ml twice daily.

A few lab basic lab tests like serum ferritin and Thyroid function tests would have guided me further.

take care
