Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

You have taken rest for 8 weeks which is needed for fracture to heal. But during this period non use of muscles leads to wasting of calf and thigh muscles and stiffness of knee. Physiotherapy is needed to regain knee range of motion and to gain muscle strength. Please visit physiotherapist nearby you for assessment and to schedule physiotherapy regimen for you. Also Advise from your operating surgeon regarding physiotherapy should be taken. Exercises needed are knee range of motion, Ankle range of motion, Quadriceps and hamstring strengthening exercises, Gait training.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
