How To Remove A Plastic Piece Stuck In The Throat?
A piece of thin plastic (like that of a shopping bag is made of) was apparently in my coffee and I didn t realize it and drank it. It s been lodged in my esophagus ever since. Although I can breathe just fine, I feel it constantly, especially when I swallow. I tried vomiting and it would take come up and it will not go down either. My chest has been hurting since about an hour after it got stuck yesterday evening. Do I need medical attention or is there something I can do to get it to move?
hi usually foerign body if entered in esophagus and and crossed upper esophageal Spchinter it will reach much below and come out of in ur stools. first consult an ENT surgeon to confirm the foreign body . if it's plastic and radio opaque it is seen in x ray if not u need further investigations . if confirmed that it's stuck there it has to be removed . as far as ur history there will be no foreign body in ur throats . but injury to mucosal due to its passage may be present . don't worry
