I developed a black spot in the inside of my lower lip since yesterday. I do not smoke. I am getting vitamin-B12 injections biwkly at this time for the past 3-months. I does not cause any pain. I just happened to notice it. It kinda looks like a blood blister but is not painful. Is this something I should be worried about? Should I give this time to see what happens?
Hi. As per your case history of black spot inside lip, my treatment advice is - 1. It is probably a sign of vitamin b12 deficiency. 2. Take healthy nutritious diet containing green leafy vegetables and milk. 3. Continue vitamin b12 injections. Also take a vitamin b12 tablet once daily for 3 months. 4. Apply a triamcinolone gel once at night on dark spot.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
