My mother in law had quite a bit of ear wax taken out today. There was initial bleeding which the doctor stopped and then she put in her hearing aid. 6 hours later there is blood on her ear and on her hearing aide. Not much, but want to know if that s normal.
Thanks for your query. A small amount of blood may be seen due to trauma to the skin of the ear canal. Only care she needs to take is to avoid entry of water in the ear ( during bath ). If severe ear pain / bleed recurs then ear should be examined to rule out any major trauma.
