How To Remove Skin Flap Scar On The Tip Of Tongue?
i have a weird 'skin flap' scar on the tip of my tongue, almost as if ive bitten it really hard...it never seems to go but gets more prominent at times, i cant remember ever biting it that hard or when it 1st appeared but ive had it a few years now.....
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.
As per your complain and presentation of symptoms the skin flap over the tip of the tongue can be due to inflamed papillae caused due to tongue bite or physical injury to the tongue or burning of the tongue with hot fluids.. It can also be a fibroma or mucosal tag caused due to physical injury.. Nothing to worry, consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and in case of inflamed papillae you can take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen. Sucking ice pops can help. In case of fibroma or mucosal tag a minor surgical procedure can be done to remove it..
Hope this information helps..
