Hi! My name is Rochelle and i have been noticing some loss of skin pigmentation right near the tear duct of my daughter s eyes and I am thinking it s vitiligo. However there is this cream call candiderm that I have been using a little while before I recognize she had loss of skin pigmentation. Do you think candiderm cream can cause my daughter to have any form of skin disorder?
You said that your daughter has depigmentation on the face below the right eye. Most probably it may be vitiligo. Pityriasis alba is other condition to be considered. But, clinically it may be confirmed by examination personally. So, kindly consult the dermatologist.
If it is vitiligo, I would suggest trioxsalen 10 mg once a day along with mometasone cream and tacrolimus ointment to apply for long time.
If it is pityriasis alba, a superficial eczema, then ..mild steroid cream may be applied along with oral multivitamin syrup.
I hope you got my answer.
Thanks.
