How To Speed Up Healing Of Bright Red Stripes On Face After Being Hit?

My 9 year-old son slapped his 3 year-old sister hard across the face last night when they were fighting over a video game! It just looked red last night but today she has bright red stripes where his fingers struck her. We iced it for a bit but we're wondering if this will speed up the healing process as about 15 hours have passed since the incident.

plz give her ibuprofen syrup and apply ice. no need for any other remedy. don't apply any topical creams etc
