How To Stop Bleeding During Periods?

Hi,

My periods haven't stopped this month, it is 12th day today. On the onset of my periods i had lot of travelling and exertion. The first 5 days were good with light and normal flow, but since 6th day the flow is high. I visited a doctor, she gave me trenaxa 500 for 4days (3 tablets a day). I have taken it for 1 day,the flow decreased but it has not stopped. The doc asked me to take meprate for 15days if the periods doesn't stop using trenaxa. I am 23yrs old and had hormonal imbalance issues 2years back. What should i do? Is the treatment ok? I am scared and is getting difficult at work

OB & GYN Specialist 's  Response

Hello,

Yes, you can take above medication to arrest vaginal bleeding temporarily. However, I suggest you to undergo one ultrasound scan to reveal underlying pelvic pathology.

Kindly, consult with your gynecologist regarding this. Good luck.
