My wife was cleaning our bathroom with bleach. No ventalation! Now she have a significant cough and her chest is tight. No other problems that we see. I told her to go out in the fresh air for a while. She went to bed instead. She still has the cough and tight chest. Whats our next step?
I think your wife is having irritant fume induced bronchitis. The best way is stop the exposure give fresh air. One can also give cough supressant and broad spectrum antibiotic like levofloxacin. And if symptoms not get over please consult pulmonologist. Oral steroids are also helpful but should be taken after doctor s advice.
