How To Stop Dehydration Due To Passing Of Loose Of Stools For A 6month Old?

Hi Doctor, My son is 6 months old and he has got watery poop for last 2 days ..And the poop has white strings like milk insolubles.. My ped suggested to stop the formula and asked to start with lactose free soy milk and given GNorm powder and zinc powder. still he is having this problem...what kind of fluids can be given to him to prevent from dehydration.. Till now I havent started with any fluids.. Just giving nestum rice and lactose free soy milk..please advise

I really appreciate your concern first is to confirm the dehydration, if this is really dehydration then this can be managed with the oral rehydration therapy, if no dehydration then no need to give any rehydration solution this could cause over hydration, looking to the age of patient it is advisable to get it confirm the clinical condition by pediatrician, hope this information helps you, have good day.
