How To Stop The Habit Of Feeding Bottle? Which Shampoo And Tooth Paste Can Be Used?
Hi Doctor, 1. My daughter is 4yrs old, she used to drink milk in feeding bottle even now. I do not know how to stop this Habit . She goes mad and shouts if i give milk in glass. Please advice 2. Also advice till what age i can use baby shampoo for my kid. And what shampoo can be used later. 3. Also advice which is the best tooth paste for her now.
1. Be patient. Try to use different methods when asking her to stop drinking milk in feeding bottle. You can hide her bottle and she will not see that. If she cries and shouts, ask her to have milk in a glass. If she shouts, then, "punish" her: do not give her favored candy or stop her doing the things she mostly likes. At the end of the day, she will obey. But you need to be patient and consistent.
2. I usually advise my patients to use baby shampoo to their children as long as they grow up to 4-5 years old. This is to avoid damaging of hair and/or scalp from other shampoos. Can start with children shampoo (not for babies) until 10 years old. At this period of time, you will see what type of hair and scalp your child has (oily, dandruff, dry, etc.) to decide the most appropriate shampoo later.
3. The best toothpaste is that one advised for children up to 6 years old who have only the temporary (first) teeth and not mixed (with permanent). You can find in the OTC drugstore such toothpaste.
