You have to adhere to the dosage and schedule of the medicines lest the risk of complications like incomplete abortion, heavy bleeding, etc. After the last dose of Tab. Misoprostol, usually the abortion is complete within 24 hours but not later than 3 days. The completeness of abortion may be ascertained by ultrasonography. These medicines cause developmental abnormalities in the baby; hence in case failure of these medicines to terminate the pregnancy, it should not be continued; the uterus should be evacuated by some surgical methods like MVA aspiration or so.
