Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Please do not worry as these problems are common in
PCOD.
PCOD is caused by many different
hormonal abnormalities and treatment will be designed according to the abnormal hormone. Sometimes the hormone results may not show significant changes, then treatment is formulated according to symptoms and examination findings.
Ossure plus is a vitamin supplement and not aimed primarily to treat PCOD.
I suggest that you first get your daughter examined and her hormone levels checked if you have not done it already. This has to be done on day 3 of menses. So you may need to take menses inducing drugs like
meprate twice daily for 3 days after consulting your doctor.
Stress and weight gain also add to
irregular periods, so check to see if she is having any of these issues. Other measures include daily exercise, especially abdominal exercises, low fat and low sugar diet,
yoga and
meditation to decrease stress. All these are equally important in the treatment of PCOD as drugs.
Just get these things done and start treatment. Do not worry as this has become a routine problem in clinics now.
Hope I was able to help
Thanks for using HCM, I would be happy to provide any more help if needed.
