How To Treat A Deformity In Sternum Due To Comminuted Fracture?

I have a step deformity in sternum due to comminuted fracture thanks to air bag pain most of the time .this happened apr 2014 constant ache and feels like airway has a frog in it how extensive is surgery also may have osteoporosis am 56 yrs old and petite any suggestions

Usually sternum deformity is accepted not because it cannot be corrected,but because the heart and the mediastinal structures are just behind it and the risk is not worth, still if it concerns you consult a cardiothoracic surgeon.
