I have a huge boil on my forehead. It hurts to touch. It is the color of my skin. It is hard and throbbing. I would like to know what I can do to get rid of it. It does not look like it wants to pop anytime soon. I don t know why this has happened or the medical term for it. Please help
Hi You have developed a furuncle. I would recommend you to start oral antibiotics like tablet cefixime 200 mg twice daily for 7 days along with anti inflammatory medicines like tablet ibuprofen. Besides this apply topical antibiotic like mupirocin cream or fusidic acid cream on the affected area twice daily till the time it resolves completely. These are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them. Regards
