How To Treat A Hernia Developed On The Mesh Used To Treat A Previous Hernia?

My husband is involved in the study off a dissolvable mesh for his hernias. The mesh is to dissolve over a 2 years time frame however my husband has developed another hernia that s located partially in the mesh and part of it is above the mesh. My husband does have a strenuous job with continuous walking climbing numerous stair lifing heavy tank car lids but he is also an alcoholic excessive drinker and i was wondering if the alcohol plus smoking plays apart in him getting hernias frequently?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, you have not mentioned the type of hernia, let me inform you that hernia is the condition of internal organs that leave the original place and escapes in surrounding structure or area, there could be many type of hernias and it most of the cases mesh being used, in your husband's case it seems to be inguinal hernia, if the hernia is not being repaired properly then it can occurs again still depends upon type of hernia, your detail query will be appreciated hope this information helps.
